These photos show how the original surgery included ‘dropping the inframammary fold’ or ‘borrowing some upper abdominal skin’ to lengthen the lower pole & allow a larger implant to be inserted. Once the implant was removed, the natural inframammary fold becomes more visible. An immediate mastopexy was not necessary and would have resulted in a poorer breast shape.
