



















38-Year-Old Female Abdominoplasty
38 year old female. Abdominoplasty for symptomatic post pregnancy rectus divarication. Breast augmentation performed at the same time.
Operation – 5cm rectus divarication repaired.
After photos were taken at 3 months post operative. There was a 2kg weight gain post-operatively.
The scars will continue to fade with time and reach final maturity at about 12 months. The small vertical scar in midline is where the umbilicus was at the beginning of the procedure. Maintaining a small vertical scar is sometimes the best option for a patient when deciding against horizontal scar height and tension.
